The Medieval Paige-St. Francis

This is a painting of St. Francis of Assisi by Margaritone Di Arezzo from c.1270. St. Francis is the founder of the Franciscan order of monks. He is also believed to have had miraculously appear on his body the same wounds as Christ (look at his hands).
